Beavers Announce New Hispanic Marketing Partnership. Oregon State Athletics

“Beaver Sports Properties and Oregon State Athletics are proud to announce a new partnership with Churchill Media, LLC of Eugene to broadcast Beaver football to the Hispanic community. Spanish speaking radio coverage of Beaver football games will begin this season on the LaX sports network in Eugene (KXOR 660AM), Portland (KXPD 1040 AM), and Yakima, WA (KLES 101.7 FM).

Oregon State Athletics through its exclusive multi-media rights holder Beaver Sports Properties are again making history by being the only college in the Western United States to air all of its football games live in Spanish. In 2003, OSU partnered with KWBY 960 in Woodburn, Oregon to become the first collegiate program in the Northwest to broadcast games to the Hispanic community. “I’m excited about the direction our Hispanic sports marketing efforts have taken us. Diversity is a key value of the Athletics and the University as a whole” said Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis. Beaver Sports Properties General Manager Mark Massari added “Reaching out to the Latino community is and will always be important to us. We’re glad Churchill Media shared our vision””
