“Kentucky’s Hispanic student population will increase significantly over the next dozen years, but not as much as a recent study projected.
Faulty data was the culprit, according to the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Center, which uncovered the error.
By 2018, the research center expects the number of Kentucky high school graduates who are Hispanic to grow from 1 percent to 8 percent — far from the 24 percent estimated in a June report from the Southern Regional Education Board.”
