“South Florida companies once again dominate a list of the 100 fastest-growing Hispanic-owned businesses.
There are 23 South Florida firms on Hispanic Business magazine’s chart, which will be released today. That’s up from 20 last year. Eight of them posted jumps of more than 1,000 percent in sales over the past five years. Five of the top 10 are based in South Florida.
Hispanic Business’ chief economist, Juan Solana, attributed the increase in the number of Florida firms to population growth in the area, along with a large number of midsize companies in the region. To qualify, Hispanics must own a majority share of the firm and it must have pulled in at least $100,000 in sales in the past.”
