Carnival, parade celebrate Puerto Rico in Trenton, New Jersey

“”Celbrando Nuestra Cultura Boriquena” (Celebrating Our Puerto Rican Culture) kicked off on Saturday with a flag-raising ceremony hosted by Mayor Douglas H. Palmer at City Hall.

That night, the 29th annual Banquet took place at the Trenton Marriott on West Lafayette Street. Puerto Rican musical guests included Luisito Rosario and his orchestra, DJ Magic Sound, Edwin Martinez and a group of local teenage performers called the Muevete Dancers.”
