“Two Ithaca High School students were among 11 chosen from Central New York high schools to attend the 16th annual Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (HYLI), held in Albany from April 29 to May 1.
IHS students Rafael Ventura and Colette Mauboussin took part in the institute, which introduces Hispanic students to New York state’s legislative process and civic issues affecting the Latino community, while fostering such skills as debate, citizenship and leadership.”
