Today an intern, tomorrow a Latino leader
“Ludy Marulanda never considered herself an office person. But when she graduates from the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, she wants to work indoors in the news media, perhaps behind the scenes in management.
Paola Hernandez discovered the exact opposite. When she gets a degree from Rutgers University, she wants to be in front of the camera, out on the street.
Marulanda, 20, of Morristown, and Hernandez, 21, of North Bergen, are discovering things about themselves they never learned in college, as participants in the Hispanic Interns in Community Service Program and the Latino Leaders Fellowship Institute.”
