No real progress on immigration, but you can’t say nothing was done

Now, with both chambers of Congress unable to agree on anything and the midterm election angst sinking in, Washington has slammed on the brakes. House and Senate Republicans have been killing time with a listening tour. This week, House Republicans called for still more hearings ”” or, as Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., has put it, “faux hearings.”"
