“CAMILO LARA is a musical mestizo , growing up around the music his parents played and those of imported Anglo-American youth culture.

“In cities like Tijuana and Mexico City, there is so much blending of culture. It’s not something you do as a fashion statement,” says Lara, 30, who lives in Mexico City. “You live in a house where in the kitchen you hear cumbia, in the living room you hear classical music and in the kids’ room you hear punk rock and new wave.”"
