“While the Greater Tulsa Hispanic Chamber works at solving the ongoing issues faced by its growing base of business owners, the newly formed State Hispanic Chamber is pursuing the same goal throughout the state.

It’s important, however, that local and state efforts to aid Hispanics start with Oklahoma’s school-age children, one Tulsan says.

Maria Carlota Palacios has developed a program to help Hispanic children in Tulsa achieve success in school and life. Palacios, a community relations partner with Williams Cos. Inc. and a chamber board member, outlined her Conecciones project Wednesday during a luncheon presentation to members of the Tulsa Hispanic chamber.”
