Guatemalan consul touts ID cards in visits with mayors in Rhode Island
Tagged: Guatemala, Guatemalan“Guatemala’s consul general for New England visited some Rhode Island mayors and key legislative and community leaders yesterday, renewing his country’s push for greater acceptance of government identification cards for legal and undocumented immigrants.
At Mayor A. Ralph Mollis’s office, Consul General Carlos Avila Sandoval said the passports and ID cards are secure and would detect fraud.”
