“Urban Box Office (UBO) Inc. made a name for itself after releasing the Spanish-language version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in the spring, later released as part of the Somos Americanos album. Now it is leveraging that recognition to launch the new regional Mexican music label Fronterizo Records, which will showcase ranchera, Norteño, banda, among other genres. The entertainment marketing company’s first artist or group will be selected from the Somos Americanos Talent Competition, which runs from Aug. 15 to Oct. 16. That’s Hispanic Heritage month, to be exact.”
