MTV brings Latin music awards to Mexico City

“Mexico City will host the fifth edition of MTV’s Latin American Video Music Awards on October 19, after a hurricane threat forced the network to cancel last year’s scheduled ceremony in the Mexican Caribbean.

The event will take place at the Palacio de los Deportes arena. It will air live on MTV Latin America in 24 countries throughout the region, and on U.S. Hispanic channel MTV Tr3s. MTV and MTV2, which reach an additional 80 million U.S. households, will broadcast the show at a later date.”
