“Latino and Hispanic leaders from around the state, including representatives from East Chicago, met with advisers to the governor and the city of Indianapolis to create the Indiana Statewide Latino/Hispanic Association (ISLHA).

The ISLHA will represent more than 220,000 Hoosiers with Latino/Hispanic roots providing Latinos/Hispanics in Indiana representation with local governments and at the Statehouse. The new association is seeking volunteers and those willing to undertake leadership roles. Membership for the association is open. “
