“our students planning a career in tourism will receive partial college scholarships from the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The recipients: Miami Beach Senior High School graduates Raul Veizaga, Jennifer Amador, Vanesa Flores and Guilherma Cunha.

“It’s the No. 1 industry in the state of Florida, generating jobs, and also the majority of minority students [are enrolled] in that program,” said chamber President Liliam Lopez, on why the group chose to award scholarships in that major.”
