“Mexico’s Grupo Televisa SA is still working to become a leading player in the U.S. Hispanic market, despite the rejection of its initial takeover offer for Spanish-language broadcaster Univision Communications.
Alfonso de Angoitia, executive vice president at Televisa, said during a Tuesday conference call with analysts that a counter bid for Los Angeles-based Univision was “one of the alternatives” the company is considering.”
