“A group of Centro Latino board members, volunteers and others attended the United States Department of Agriculture Fund for Rural America Kentucky and Tennessee Latino Health Coalition’s 4th Annual Conference.

The conference involves four counties — two from each state — that were selected to receive the USDA Fund for Rural America grant. Shelby and Montgomery were the only counties in the state to receive the grant, which is in its final year.

Sheila Fawbush, county Extension agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, said the conferences feature different speakers and are educational.”
