“The Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Center is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Latina Outreach Program Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. at 625 Court St., Woodland.
“The purpose of this event is to celebrate 20 yeas of providing services and information to the community,” said Frances Vasquez, alternative to violence coordinator. “We’re also here to give women in these situations reason why they should reach out.”
Families and individuals who are looking to prevent or stop domestic violence are encouraged to come and take part in the event’s activities. Participants will enjoy food, music and raffles. There will also be face painting and clowns for children.”
