“Westchester County has announced a new bilingual/bicultural program that has Spanish-speaking probation officers visiting community groups to provide a positive experience with law enforcement and talk about driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and other traffic safety issues.

The program, called El Protector de Westchester (You, Alcohol and the Law), will formally debut at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at the Fountain of Eternal Life Church, 720 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco. Two probation officers, Frank Garcia and Juan Sierra, will present (in Spanish) the safety outreach program which includes a slide presentation and a video about a woman whose life was drastically changed by a drunk driver.”
