“The changing could put Europe at a competitive disadvantage with the United States, where birth rates haven’t taken a nosedive — in part because of the growing Hispanic .

Hispanics accounted for almost one-half (1.3 million or 49 percent) of the U.S. nationwide growth of 2.8 million between July 2004 and July 2005, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures.”
