“Impassioned pleas from users of Centro De La Comunidad paid off Monday night when the City Council amended its plan for $1.024 million in federal grants to include funding for the Latino-oriented social service agency.
“It has to exist,” said Norwich resident Jaely Leon. “Everyone knows to go there for that help. They are an asset to the community.”"
