Univision’s Premios Juventud and the Blogosphere
Tagged: blog, border, Premios Juventud, UnivisionI was wondering how big a wave certian Hispanic and Latino news stories made in the blogosphere. This came to mind because I had found almost nothing about the Univision’s Premios Juventud. One would think that there would be many posting about this from Hispanic youth, so I went on over to technorati to see what I could find.
Posts that contain "premios Juventud" per day for the last 30 days in all languages.
You can see that there are some but not as many as I thought, 516 in 90 days to be exact. Then I changed the parameters to English only and got this almost empty graph. 59 posts in 90 days. Both charts are calculate with the authority of the blog set to its lowest level.
English posts that contain "premios Juventud" per day for the last 30 days.
Conclusions:
- Well, first off technorati as well as any other blog tracking/search engines are not always accurate, but it is all we have.
- the blogosphere isn’t even on the mainstream Hispanic TV’s radar
- obviously not many people are creating a buzz online about it in either language
- possibily there aren’t that many hispanic youth blogging and/or watching the show
Almost wish I had comment enabled to see what you have to say, but spammers ruined that. If you have anything to add send me an e-mail and I might post it.
