“Briner cherry grower Tony Privratsky has had it up to here with the farm labor situation.The picker shortage this year is particularly hard on him because he’s having his best briner cherry crop in more than 30 years of growing Royal Anns and Corums.
“My trees are just loaded. It just makes me sick.”
Unfortunately, this is the year that farm labor has become scarcer in the Willamette Valley than ever before, many say.”
