“One hundred and eighty high school students from Maryland will have a rare opportunity to learn about college and careers at the second annual Maryland Hispanic Youth Symposium, July 13-15 at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Maryland Hispanic Youth Symposium begins Thursday July 13th with a challenge to the students to frame issues that affect them and to design solutions. Speaking at the symposium on the first day will be Maryland Governor, Robert Ehrlich and Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Nancy Grasmick. Other topics covered the first day include: foundations for personal success, the importance of team building and networks, as well as exploration of talent, art and public speaking. “
