“The City of Miami now has an official guayabera, and it is exclusively from Guayaberas Etc., a Miami-based family-owned designer, manufacturer and retailer of the classic Latin shirts. After conducting thorough procurement procedures, the city has agreed to exclusively purchase guayaberas emblazoned with the city seal from the company for uses that may include officials’ attire at public functions as well as VIP gifts.

The two-year contract, which includes an option for the city to renew for two additional years, marks the first time that the city has decided to add guayaberas with the city seal to the options for its officials and employees’ wardrobes and gifts to visiting dignitaries and VIPs. It makes Guayaberas Etc. the exclusive provider of the city’s guayaberas, which will primarily be short-sleeve versions of the shirt in both traditional and fashion tones.”
