“It’s been five years since arty Colombian pop duo Aterciopelados’ last studio album, but that doesn’t mean Andrea Echeverri and Hector Buitrago had ever stopped making music together.

Last year, Buitrago oversaw production on Echeverri’s self-titled solo debut, a cosmic homage to motherhood that earned nominations at both the main and Latin Grammys. Echeverri returned the favor by lending her velvety voice to Buitrago’s just-released “Conector.”"
