Pennsylvania Governor Rendell Names 18 Latino Leaders to Serve on Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs

“overnor Edward G. Rendell announced today that he has appointed 11 people, and reappointed seven others, to serve as commissioners on the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs.

“GACLA and its commissioners have efficiently served Pennsylvania’s growing Latino community since 1971,” Governor Rendell said. “The people I’m appointing and reappointing today are leaders who are committed to serving their community and representing the voice of Latinos statewide.” The commissioners will serve a two-year term on GACLA, which acts as the Governor’s liaison to the Latino community and the commonwealth’s advocacy agency for Latino residents.”
