“Hispanics aged 12-plus spend 22 hours and 15 minutes each week listening to radio, on average””a number that’s considerably higher than the U.S. average of 19 hours. But the same sort of slippage in time spent listening (TSL) that has plagued radio overall is showing up in the stats on Hispanic listeners, too.

Arbitron just released its 2006 edition of the annual Hispanic Radio Today analysis and TSLs have dropped 15 minutes in the last 12 months, when the overall weekly figure was 22 hours and 30 minutes. That drop was entirely based on the time male listeners spent with radio. Arbitron’s analysis of Spring 2005 data shows Hispanic men spent 22:45 with radio during that survey; a year earlier, in Spring 2004, Hispanic men spent 23:15 listening.
