“City officials are hoping more will be found than lost in the newly available Spanish translation of the city’s Web site.

Police spokesman Carl Baker, who supervises the city’s cable television broadcasts and occasionally serves as the public information officer for other city departments, stumbled across the Google translation feature on the Web sites of two other cities.

“I’m constantly looking at other Web sites to see if there’s anything I can steal, basically,” Baker said. “I realized (Google translation) was a free service. If it’s free, it’s priced just right for us.”"
