Univision Agrees to Sell Company for About $12 Bln

The $36.25-a-share offer, from a group that includes Madison Dearborn Partners, Providence Equity Partners Inc., Texas Pacific Group and Thomas H. Lee Partners LP, was accepted by the board of Los Angeles-based Univision last night, the people said. The group raised an earlier bid to beat out another consortium that included Mexico City-based Grupo Televisa SA.”
