“This community has been enriched by the dedicated work of Juan Julian Vasquez, 45, and mourns the brutal murders of both him and his son, Thomas Leon Vasquez, 18, on Friday.

Mr. Vasquez was a founding member of the Hispanic Organization for Progress and Education. He was vice chairman of the Clarksville Human Relations Commission and previously served as Hispanic liaison to the local branch of the NAACP and organized free English classes for Spanish speakers.”
