“Varsovia Fernandez has become executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in what promises to be an exciting year. From Sept. 19 to 23, the local chamber will host the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 27th annual national convention and business expo.

The event at the Convention Center is expected to bring more than 5,000 people and in excess of $4.4 million in revenue to the area.

And even though Fernandez just became executive director March 13, she said during a recent interview that membership in the local chamber has already risen from 94 to 147.”
