“Spanish-speaking students and their families can now access information on the entire college process in Spanish at the College Toolkit website (www.CollegeToolkit.com).

The site now offers all its articles and guides in Spanish, helping students and their parents with a range of college-related topics, including selecting a school, visiting college campuses, saving for higher education, and understanding federal financial aid.

“For many students hoping to be the first in their family to go to college, Spanish is the primary language at home,” College Toolkit president Mark Rothbaum said. “While there are countless websites offering students and their parents information and advice about the road to college, very few make these resources available in Spanish. It’s unfortunate since these families are likely to benefit the most from this information.”

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, one out of 10 students enrolled in college was Hispanic, and this figure has been steadily rising over the last decade.”
