Tagged: Cuba, Cuban, RSS, student“In the past two years, 17-year-old Rayden Llano spent most of his spare time at the University of Miami’s Coulter Platelet Laboratory, conducting graduate-level research on a serious hematologic disorder.
When he wasn’t at the lab, chances were good he was at a Coral Gables math club meeting, doing his homework or hanging out with friends.
This year, Llano, a Cuban American, is one of nine students honored with a Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Award for academic excellence, community service and Latino pride.”
