“As president, George W. Bush has faced tumultuous times and events that have gripped and changed his presidency ”” and this nation.

At nearly every turn, two U.S. senators have been at his side, offering their passionate support. These two senators have a personal and regional affinity for this president, in part, because like Bush, they too are Texans.

Go through the issues, and senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn have been there for their president. Even as support for the war in Iraq has crumbled, Hutchison and Cornyn have never wavered in backing Bush. On all matters relating to Bush’s version of the war on terrorism, he has always counted on the support of his two fellow Republicans from Texas.”
