On March 15, 2006 a group of approximately 200 Southside real estate
professionals filed into a banquet hall on the southwest side of Chicago to
discuss their concerns over the discriminatory law known as HB-4050. From that
gathering, it was evident a committee needed to be formed to ensure that real
estate issues concerning the Southside must not get overlooked.A group of willing real estate professionals from nine different Southside real
estate offices began a process of establishing a not-for-profit organization to
represent the Southside realtors. Soon there after the organization began to
take form and a name was selected… Real Estate Professionals for Community
Awareness (R.E.P.C.A).Although created due to the perceived injustice of HB-4050, R.E.P.C.A is
prepared to remain a force for the foreseeable future. R.E.P.C.A is determined
to properly assist our communities by providing the most accurate information
regarding real estate!
