Milwaukee to Host Latino Group’s Convention

“Democratic House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi of California and the chairmen of the Republican and Democratic national parties will be in Milwaukee this month to address the League of United Latin American Citizens when it holds its 77th annual convention.

The league, commonly called LULAC, is the nation’s oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization. Its convention begins on June 26 and runs to July 1 at the Midwest Airlines Center. An estimated 7,000 to 10,000 are expected to attend the convention, according to the league and Visit Milwaukee officials. “
