“This weekend’s Puerto Rican Day Parade drew a huge crowd despite the hot weather.

The parade rolled down Columbus Drive Saturday. It’s part of a festival, much of it in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. The Fiesta Puertorriquenas is the largest Hispanic neighborhood festival in the city.

ABC7 is proud to have been a part of the celebration. Our Sylvia Perez was the honorary grand marshal. She was joined on our float by several people from our station, including Cheryl Burton, Hosea Sanders and Charles Thomas.”
