“When it comes to popularity with Hispanic audiences, comedian Jack Black isn’t the first actor that comes to mind. But for his new comedy, “Nacho Libre,” Paramount Pictures is betting heavily on America’s Hispanic community.

“Nacho Libre” stars Mr. Black as a cook at a Mexican monastery/orphanage who turns to lucha libre — Mexico’s wildly popular answer to pro wrestling — to raise money for the orphans. In so doing, Mr. Black’s character, named Nacho, struts around in skin-tight leggings, gets into fights with the monks and propositions a beautiful nun.”
