“United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania welcomed their Hispanic Leadership Development Program’s (HLDP) class of 2006 in a small ceremony held at United Way headquarters in center city on Wednesday, June 14. The 21-member class is among approximately 300 individuals to have completed the program since its inception in 1983. Graduates of the HLDP receive a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Nonprofit Center.

United Way created the Hispanic Leadership Development Program in response to the rising Latino/Hispanic population in Southeastern Pennsylvania and the need to train individuals to fulfill leadership positions in boardrooms and policy-making organizations to better represent the community.”
