Activist sees need for new Hispanic center in King County, Washington

“Roberto Gonzalez, the restaurant owner and community activist who helped forge Kent’s sister city link with El Grullo, Mexico, now is helping lead an effort to create a new community service center to serve the area’s growing Hispanic community.

“I see a real need for such a center. And now I’m starting to see the opportunities,” said Gonzalez, who has owned the Mexico Lindo Restaurant at Fourth Avenue North and Gowe Street since 1975.”
