Activist sees need for new Hispanic center in King County, Washington
Tagged: activist, Mexico, sister city“Roberto Gonzalez, the restaurant owner and community activist who helped forge Kent’s sister city link with El Grullo, Mexico, now is helping lead an effort to create a new community service center to serve the area’s growing Hispanic community.
“I see a real need for such a center. And now I’m starting to see the opportunities,” said Gonzalez, who has owned the Mexico Lindo Restaurant at Fourth Avenue North and Gowe Street since 1975.”
