“Four Long Island teenagers have been charged with hate crimes after two Hispanic immigrants were attacked while fishing on a jetty in Rocky Point, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the attackers stole money from the Mexican victims Monday evening at Hagerman Landing Beach. The teenagers are also accused of beating and kicking the victims and throwing rocks at them while yelling racial and ethnic slurs. The victims were not believed to be seriously injured.”
