Tagged: population“It’s long been predicted that Latinos would be a major political, economic and social force in the United States. But Hispanic elected leaders can’t help but marvel at Latinos’ swift population growth and their coming of age in the nation’s body politic.
With an air of disbelief and awe, the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials released a study describing the dramatic demographic changes Dallas has undergone since the year 2000. The report shows that Latinos are now a majority of youths in the city and that record numbers of newly-registered voters are Latino.”
