“Maria Rodriguez wants to learn English so she can talk to her children’s teachers, shop and go to the doctor’s office without a translator.
She joined about 70 children and adults from Fairmont City on Saturday morning at the Safe Harbour summer camp at Trinity United Methodist Outreach Center, 5110 Forest Blvd. in Washington Park.
Rodriguez, 25, has three children. She wants to understand them when they speak English.”
