“Shirley Cox, an immigration attorney and director of social action for the Oklahoma City Archdiocese, voiced her disagreement with state lawmakers attempting immigration reform.

“I consider all four measures introduced at this (legislative) session to be anti-immigration. They are harsh and punitive. This is a matter that should be left to the federal government,” Cox said.

Cox was invited by Enid’s Hispanic Outreach Council to speak about immigration laws and what the attempted reforms at the federal and state levels are attempting to do.”
