“Just 15 years ago, Hispanics had only one chance out of 300 to see one of their own on the bench if they brought a case to Cook County Circuit Court.

Now Cook County has 18 Hispanic judges on the circuit and appellate state courts, according to Chicago Lawyer magazine. Four Hispanic judges and magistrates sit on the federal bench in Chicago.”
