“Many of Orlando’s Puerto Ricans will get together to celebrate their heritage Sunday, marching through downtown as they have for the past 15 years.

This year, though, the parade will be earlier than usual and will follow a different route because Festival Park, its previous location, is unavailable due to construction.

The Puerto Rican Parade of Florida is an offshoot of a much larger New York City parade. About 200,000 Puerto Ricans live in the Metro Orlando area.”
