“A lack of Spanish language translators at relief centers is hampering flood recovery efforts in Lawrence.
Torrential rains earlier this month flooded the city of 72-thousand, which is 70 percent of Hispanic.

Michael Sweeney, director of Lawrence’s city planning office, tells the Boston Sunday Globe that communication barriers have been a hurdle.”
