Check out today's 6 stories - Knowledge is Power!
After much pondering, I have come to the conclusion … that I need to make a decision about whether or not I am going to keep this site going. Here are some of the factors (in no particular order):
- This site/blog takes a lot of my time. You try gathering over 11,000 posts in less than a year.
- This site is unique. There is no other free site where you can find so much information on a daily basis.
- This isn’t my full time job. I already have one of those. I do this on the side. Just me, no one else.
- I don’t make much money doing this. Not even close to it replacing the income I make at my fulltime job, but then I never thought it would.
- I enjoy doing this. I really do enjoy producing a tool that is useful and important (imho) for this country and the Hispanic & Latino communities.
- I love knowing that last month 35,000 people visited this site and that 14% of my visitors are regulars.
- I love sending out my e-newsletter to almost 150 people, 5 times a week.
- I love knowing journalists, mothers, students, marketers, politicians, etc. visit my site.
- I am sick of the bigots who send me e-mails or leave nasty comments.
- I am sick of spam
- I am tired
- I may have over-extended myself with other projects.
I don’t know what to do, but I thought I should let you know. Perhaps I should just cut back or take a break for a week. Anybody have any ideas or thoughts?
