“Incoming president Elsa Nunez received an enthusiastic welcome from a standing room-only crowd today at Eastern Connecticut State University as she spoke of her desire to increase the diversity efforts of the state’s public liberal arts university.

Nunez was appointed unanimously today by the Connecticut State University Board of Trustees as the sixth president of the university. She is also the first Latina president of a four-year Connecticut state university.”
