Mexican government criticizes Senate plan to expand border walls

“The Mexican government Thursday criticized a measure approved by the U.S. Senate for building new border fences, saying it will not solve the migration problem. Illegal immigrants agreed and said new walls would not stop them from crossing into U.S. territory.

President Vicente Fox’s spokesman said that the building of walls goes against a global trend toward the lowering of barriers between nations.”
